Residential proxies in France
French sites expect French: many show a different catalog, different prices or a different language to visitors from outside France, even within the EU.
What people check from French IPs
- Prices on Amazon France, Cdiscount, Fnac, Darty and Leroy Merlin.
- Classified listings on Leboncoin, which are local by nature.
- Google results for France and the ads shown alongside them.
Local notes
Use Accept-Language: fr-FR; fr alone may get you a Belgian, Swiss or Canadian edition. Cookie consent follows the strict rules of the French regulator CNIL, so the banner usually blocks content until answered. Paris and Île-de-France hold a large share of users, but results for local services differ noticeably in Lyon, Marseille and Toulouse, so target the region you are studying.
Connect
Add this option to the proxy username: -country-FR. The first line below gets a new IP on every request; the second keeps one IP for up to 10 minutes.
