Proxies for ad verification
Ads, landing pages and redirects are often configured per region. To confirm what actually appears, you have to view them from that region.
What this is for
- Confirming that a campaign shows in the intended countries and not elsewhere.
- Checking that regional landing pages, languages and currencies are correct.
- Following redirect chains from a local network to see where they end.
How to set it up
Pick the location in the proxy username. Country and city checks use location options, and when a campaign targets a specific ISP you can use the -asn- option instead. Browser checks work well with Playwright over the HTTP proxy, and a sticky session keeps one IP while the page and its resources load.
What is out of bounds
Verification means looking at your own or your clients' campaigns. Generating fake impressions or clicks is ad fraud, and our acceptable use policy forbids it.
Traffic
A full browser downloads every creative on the page, so traffic per check is higher than with a plain HTTP client. Measure a few pages first, then plan the volume with the bandwidth calculator.
