Proxy bandwidth calculator
Enter what one job does. The result is an estimate: real traffic depends on the pages you fetch.
How the estimate works
The calculator multiplies response size by requests per run, runs per day and days. It uses decimal units: 1 GB is 1,000 MB, and 1 MB is 1,000 KB.
Example
A job fetches 2,000 pages of 300 KB each, once a day, for 30 days. That is 300 KB × 2,000 × 1 × 30 = 18 GB. These numbers are only an illustration, so use your own measurements.
Questions
How do I find the average response size?
Fetch a sample of real pages and record the bytes transferred. Browser developer tools show this per page. Step-by-step guide.
Why might real usage be higher?
Retries, redirects, request headers and resources loaded by a browser all add traffic. Keep a margin, and start with a small pack to measure.
How is the tariff suggested?
From the current catalog: the smallest pack that covers the estimate, or several of the largest if none does. Tariffs that are off sale are not suggested.
